Refugee Services
We help refugees from around the world resettle here safely, learn English, gain employment and become valued, contributing members of our community.
We work directly with the Hebrew Immigration Aid Society (HIAS) and the U.S. State Department to bring refugees from around the world to Springfield, MA. They bring optimism, hope and and a unique vibrancy that enriches our local community.
Refugees are people who cannot return to their homeland. They may be persecuted for their religious or political beliefs. Many flee from war, genocide or brutality by a military regime.
Our innovative approaches support refugees in their successful adjustment to life in our community; we are a locally and nationally recognized leader in refugee resettlement and refugee mental health services. Our multi-cultural, multi-lingual staff provides comprehensive services which include case management, family reunification, employment, English as a Second Language, school and health supports and counseling,
The success of this program is based on a community partnership. We depend on donations and local employers to assist in the successful resettlment of refugees.
