The Springfield JCC welcomed over 20 JFS refugee campers to summer camp. Families tell staff that their kids are learning English, they’re making new friends, and are overjoyed to be out from behind their computer screen learning, growing and having fun. Staff are supporting with transportation, interpretation, and when any challenges arise. We’re grateful to the JCC for working with us so that newcomer kids can have fun in the sun this summer. Thank you also to Sinai Temple and other donors who helped make sure JFS campers were ready and outfitted with everything they needed for camp! Half of this year’s campers also attended camp two years ago – and are feeling very at home at their local J!
